According to the bottom of the screen, 86% of people who responded to an open text poll said that McCain won the debate (since the video was uploaded on YouTube on Oct. 7th, I`m guessing they are talking about the Town Hall)...fair and balance in content and fair in balance are their viewers

Either way, I think its good that a Dem finally gets how these shows work...its not about being rational its about saying small, ineloquent nonsense as often and loud as you can

I had a conversation with my boss and his daughter a few weeks back that demonstrates the mentality of the average Fox viewer/brainwashed redneck. We`re from Australia, so it was just speculation.

"Who would you vote for?" asked my boss.
"Please don`t say Obama," said the daughter.
"I don`t know," said a friend.
"I`d vote for the other guy ... what`s his name," said the daughter.
"McCain?" I asked.
"Yeah, him," she said.
"If you don`t know his name, you probably shouldn`t have an opinion on this one," I said.
*Conversation moved on*

She was ready and willing to hate on Obama completely, and yet couldn`t even tell me his opponent`s name, let alone any policies or what they stand for. They`re very conservative, and attempt to be the typical religious family. They even go to Mass.

They`re nice enough people, but lack any well thought out opinions.

"Obama wants to pull out the troops in a month! Why would you tell the enemy when you`re going to pull out?" asked my boss energetically.

That alone sums up his mindset.

last week i overheard a conversation in the cafeteria about the election, one guy said he was voting for mccain and the 2nd guy asked him to name any part of mccain`s platform that the 1st guy agreed with, and the 1st guy couldn`t even name one

i`m sure there are obama supporters who are just like that too. they make their decisions on first impressions and popularity, they don`t pay attention to the issues. that`s how our democracy works
