Colin Powell is such a great man and I have a ton of respect for him. I hope he picks up some sort of seat in Obama`s new administration. The guy is a real class act.

I don`t understand white americans...65% white country...12% blacks. Blacks being the most impoverished ethnic minority in the country, with the lowest educational levels, lowest iq levels, highest percentage of criminals, most prone to communist ideals...and you vote an african-american into power...WHY??

so does this mean i can finally be forgiven for the slavery acts that happened hundreds of years ago that i had no control over..

maxrandy, yes he`s a Republican. Yes he was a part of the Bush administration. Yes he pushed for the war in Iraq. These are all things that I think he regrets however, and didn`t do intentionally. He was the one level-headed guy in the administration, and that`s why he left after Bush`s first term.

For the record, Rumsfeld had too much power and overshadowed Colin Powell. Bunch of warhawks.
