Selling bongs isn`t even illegal in the united states. You can use one to smoke tobacco out of too but they still frown upon the sale of them because their "drug paraphernalia." Ok, so then let`s outlaw gatorade bottles because you can make a nice bong out of one easily. Or for that matter, all tobacco pipes and lighters have to be outlawed too because you use lighters to light drugs.

Grow the fuck up. I`m so happy that obama is getting elected because I have firm beliefs that he isn`t going to continue the shit that has gone on in this country for way too long.

I painstakingly* signed in after watching this just to say that I fucking love Bill Maher. There aren`t many people out there who can get a point across this confidently, eloquently and humourously all at the same time, and anyone who can earns my full respect. Truth is, I don`t even particularly agree with him on a lot of occasions, but the points he makes and the way he forwards them really makes me stop and consider how right he is.


*And I haven`t had a rant about the advertising yet, so here goes...Spikedhumor I appreciate you need cash to run, but this should not happen: I should not be greeted by some super loud crap about how it feels to chew some type of gum (I`ve never actually seen further than that since I refresh that bullshit away), before being hit with a full screen popup ad just because I clicked "Sign-In", before being harrassed by the same fucking gum ad again when this page reloaded. It`s gone too far I think

You`re absolutely right that doing all those other drugs is really friggin bad, but the point is that making them illegal is completely pointless because its too easy to get your hands on them anyway. So many resources are being spent on law enforcement to get rid of them that could be used elsewhere, and the only ones benefitting are the drug lords and cartels. The gov would be better off spending that money on educating the public about drugs.

think about the ilegal drugs trade. yeah its punishable by prison etc but think how much time, effort and money is wasted on smack addicts and meth heads each year. if legal then tax would be procured from their sale, this money could help to fix and regenerate communities and people effected by the drugs. treatment could be funded by this as well as many other benefits.
on the "dangers" of X. it is not knowing how to look after yourself on the drug (drink too much water and burst all your red blood cells) or contaminated pills made on the cheap that kill. pure MDMA (the active ingredient in x) doesnt kill, it temporarily does damage to brain cells but doesnt alcohol. if it was legalised then there would be a strict control of what was going into the pill reducing possibilities of fatal batches. also asprin kills more people per head than ecstacy!
