They really dont know what causes Parkinsons. Possibly some genetics to do with it, also head trauma could contribute. There are risks in any athletic sport.

That being said, Mixed Martial Arts is here to stay.

The entire premise of Bill-O`s show is to have an incorrect forgone conclusion, then to pretend to have a debate, while mis-framing the issue, and badgering the guests, ignorantly. He hammers away at the forgone conclusion, with NO possiblility of honest discovery, open discussion, rational argument, or reconciliation.

Bill-O is a pig headed cunt who demonstrates the worst of closed minded bullying predjudice and ignorance. He`s a Grade A prime example of what the rest of the world hates about America, and for very good reason.

Bill sat down in front of millions of people and the only argument he had was the UFC fighters had more concussions and because Ali has Parkinsons. Why is this moron on tv?? UFC gloves are virtually a piece of leather and provide little cushioning when a guy gets punched in the face..that means he goes down quick (and gets a concussion easier). In boxing the padding allows for the fighters to receive blows for a sustained amount of time which is actually worse for you in the long run because the fighters remain standing to receive more and more damage. Ever notice how a boxer near the end of his career develops a mild speech impediment compared to his youth.
BRAIN DAMAGE.
Come on Bill...I thought you would have more insight into your own medical condition.

Well I box and fight MMA and I`ll tell you that it IS a lot safer to be in a cage.

-In boxing you have the standing 8 count rule. Basically you can be knocked out for a moment, if you can get to your feet and look the ref in the eye after 8 seconds they`ll let you go back in to get beat down some more. And THAT`s when you get hurt, because that`s the most likely time you`ll get hit by something you don`t see coming, and those are the worst ones
-In MMA, is you even look like you`re going out or not intelligently defending yourself, the fight is over.

-In boxing you can literally be out on your feet and if you don`t go down the ref will more often than not allow the fight to continue until you fall. Perfect example is a Roy Jones Jr fight where he actually STOPPED hitting his opponent (who was lterally out on his feet) and looked at the ref as to say "you going to fucking DO something??" The ref`s response was to tell him to knock him down.
-In MMA, if you`re out, fights over.

-You have 10 seconds to get back up and keep fighting in Boxing
-Again, in MMA if you`re out thats it.

-In boxing, the gloves are bigger but in a sense that makes it more dangerous. Think of the surface area a boxing glove covers when it contacts the face. it`s like getting hit with a log every time and in my opinion is far worse than those little mma gloves. Sure, the smaller gloves make it easier to knock someone out quicker, but that`s just it. Far fewer shots total.

-In boxing, the amount of punishment a person takes to the head is far FAR greater than in MMA. Think about it, and look at the punch stats in even the last fight I saw with Hopkins. Landed over 200 shots to the head, CLEAN shots. That has NEVER happened in MMA.

-How many times do you actually see someone truely knocked out in MMA, not nearly as much as boxing.

-There are FAR more submissions and TKO`s than there are actual KO`s.

-I`ve been hurt far more times playing rugby than I EVER have fighting. And like I said, would much rather roll with someone and maybe catch an armbar than get back into a ring for 12 rounds and duke it out. Not that it`s not fun, but it`s a lot easier on my aging body lol.

I fucking HATE this Ali reference when it comes to boxing though. He did not get PD from fucking boxing. What, did Micheal J Fox fight in between movies??? NO, and he has it. so Fuck you Bill.
