^nope, i wouldn`t hesitate one bit. Dogs are just as effective weapons as anything else out there, and if the sheriff didn`t know the dog then what he did is shitty, but not unreasonable. We can argue semantics about what he could have done instead, but with the size of that dog and how it was approaching him, i know for a fact i would have done something similar.

And for peeps who disagree with me, just imagine it was a rotty, or a pitbull instead of whatever the fuck that dog was. Keep your dogs inside a fence in the backyard unless you`re outside with him.

I have a similar problem with my negibors 2 loose dogs. he has no gate and to replace it he has dogs. every time i get out my house they bark and try to bite me if im distracted. The owner once stabed my friends 2 akitas with a knife killing them when they tried to attack the dogs. Im going to eliminate those dogs. there is no reasoning with the crazy owner

If this had been a person instead of a dog, there wouldn`t be a case. If a person sprints towards a cop without any signal of intent, any reasonable onlooker would recognize that person as a potential threat. Almost every species is hardwired to treat this kind of rapid encroach as threatening. The dog doesn`t understand the ambiguity of its actions, true. But this is what happens when you introduce a dumb, impulsive, dangerous carnivore into the society of another species. This is one of many recent videos that shows evidence that DOGS SHOULD NOT BE DOMESTICATED. They offer nothing but escapism from human interaction, and instead of diffusing breaches in personal security, they only exacerbate them.
