It focuses less on the BC market and more on the reasons why marijuana should be viewed in the same light as alcohol and tobacco. It argues for the legalization of marijuana. The argument is compelling and factual with many legitimate sources.

Before i watch this i would like to say:

I don`t smoke weed for personal reasons but the bottom line is that weed isn`t even as dangerous as smoking tobacco, drinking, or even McDonald`s. no one has ever died from weed overdose.

weed isn`t physically addictive but can be mentally addictive, well anything can that brings pleasure can be mentally addictive. i might have decided not to smoke but i think someone else also have the right to decide to smoke weed.

But I think people should have the freedom and the right to decide to smoke weed or not. I don`t think the government should be regulating weed. even though i decided not to smoke; other people should have the right to decide to smoke without criminal consequences.

^ Hellfire. Marijuana is a highly vasospastic subtance. More so than tobacco and alcohol. Combinations of the active ingredient in marijuana, THC, combined with hypertension (for whatever reason in the individual) whether it be prescription medication, thin blood vessels, weak and or irregular heart can easily lead to a transient ischemic attack or a heart attack.

Now I`m not trying to make marijuana sound bad for legislation but scientists would never compare this substance to nicotine or alcohol due to the extreme contrasts. A lot about marijuana is still not understood. The correlation between THC and dopamine is to this day unclear. Once in the blood stream THC reaches the brain in seconds! It passes itself off as a neurotransmitter, primarily in the hippocampus, the cerebellum, and the basal ganglia.

Now you don`t have to be a doctor to know that the more stimulation a substance does, the more risks involved as well.
Constant wear and tear of neurons and receptors in the brain does dissolve myelin sheaths and dull your brain of energy.

Assuming an individual has psychological problems, or worse, is prescribed to any psychoactive medication (depression, ADHD, schizophrenia)...

Hellfire, the rest of your post is fine. It`s just that opening paragraph that had me irked. Keep in mind this video is biased FOR marijuana, of course they will associate it to LONG TERM tobacco and alcohol. The SHORT TERM effect is whats important about marijuana. Even longterm inhalation of pot can lead to lung problems. It`s the chemical imbalance that is key. An unbiased scientist/doctor will tell you.

Weed is a gateway drug that often leads to McDonald`s though.

^all i know is my best friend in high school smoked more weed than i did (a fucking lot) and graduated top of our class. He also took science studies so they were HARD classes...unlike me who took slack classes.

the whole gateway theory is stupid because people are lied to their whole lives that weed is bad...then they do it, realize it`s not bad and figure that people were also lying about heroine, cocaine, etc.. so they go and try them. In my experience, i`ve never seen anyone want to go get some coke after blazing...it`s usually when they are SHITFACED.

btw i`ve never tried coke, heroine, meth, etc.. because there are some drugs you just don`t do. i have tried mushrooms about a half dozen times and x a couple times in highschool, but i don`t do drugs anymore.....just weed.

^about half of the top 10% of my class smoked pot, and all of our class officers smoked pot. I didnt smoke pot and now im a college dropout =(

^ To Brainwave, if you have any experience with cannabis, Canada does not have the best weed. And If you think that, then you haven`t tried some of the one hit quit stuff.

In fact, California USA and Amsterdam have the best weed on earth. Other documentary`s I have seen have re-enforced the fact that people from Holland brought seeds, back from California to Amsterdam to grow some of the best stuff we have ever seen.

California though has weed comparable if not better than some of the strains from Amsterdam, and this is from experience I have after visiting Amsterdam a handful of times.

Here`s another little tidbit, my parents grew cannabis for up to 30 years in Northern California, where their community exploded with profit, and growth attributed to the money everyone was spending back into the community from cannabis.

Arguably California is the hub of where all the best pot in the world has come from, specifically Humboldt county!

The fact that using weed CAN be used unsafely and lead to possible health hazards under some of those specific conditions does not justify its regulation from the public. There`s endless combinations of medicines that can be used that could be extremely unsafe and sometimes fatal. If everything that is unsafe were to be banned then anything with a sharp edge would no longer be sold legally

^ alifeva. I`m not saying that marijuana isn`t totally harmless, there are positive effects of marijuana and negative effects. i have friends that smoke on a regular basis who are normal and a few of them just have just bad memory.

alcohol=liver damage
smoking=lung cancer

I`m not a doctor nor a medical major, i may not understand the full extent of marijuana`s effect on the body but lets hypothetically say marijuana is just as harmful as alcohol or cigarette. People still have the right to choose whether to take those substance. why can`t people have the right to chose to smoke marijuana when they can chose to drink and smoke cigs. Thats my point. so i`m all for legalize marijuana!!

Actually, 3 of the best strains in teh world were developed by the University of British Columbia for medical use. Now, the best weed is totally subjective. What I consider to be the best weed may be different from what you consider to be the best weed. For me flavor and smoothness are key to being the best, and due to the fact that I run my own business and smoke weed all day long, I don`t want the shit that puts me on my ass for hours. I want the weed that gets me high, but allows me to function and lasts the longest.

But, now a days, the best strain of weed talk is nonsense because it depends more on how you grow it then the strain. I know dudes who can take mexican dirt shwag and a grow some shit that will blow your mind. I also know dudes who can take the strongest blend of Northern Lights or Purple haze and grow grow dirt shwag. Somepeople have a green thumb, while others do not.

Back onto the subject of the video, it`s all so true! I have smoked weed for well over a decade and in that time I have gone through times where I don`t smoke( for whatever reasons) or smoke tons of weed and everything in between I can say with total honesty that I don`t get any smarter when I am not smoking. I don`t even get more industrious when I am not smoking weed. Pot is awesome and no one has the right to tell me that I can or can not smoke it. Even if it may be mildly harmful to my health( which it isn`t) it`s my fucking right to smoke it, eat it, grow it or what ever with it. Viva la revolution!

The only thing that has ever been concluded about smoking cannibas is that inhaling the smoke and the heat involved irritate and cause slight damage to your lungs. To attack that sliver of a threat, all you have to do is use a vaporizer. Oh and dont forget:
