Hell, i`m fed up with all the charities begging for funding to the African nations. Why don`t they fucking evolve like everyone else? After all the money they have been given, and all the debt wiped - they still can`t get everything together.

Can`t say I agree with that when Africa was a shithole then and is still a shithole now. While Rome was definitely not a shithole then and still isn`t a shithole now.

African civilization is like an elderly relative. It`s a bit burned out and boring and we have to shell out to keep it alive, but we sort of owe it a degree of respect because it`s our blood, it`s where we came from.

But don`t worry, winter will come round, Africa will fall and bust its hip on the way to the dogs and we`ll collect the life insurance. Sorted.

bm28651 - Can`t say Rome no longer exists...... when the city is clearly on the map in Italy. The architecture still stands as well as evidence that they were one of the reasons why Europeans were so advanced as their technology spread with them. But even so, before the empire we were more advanced than the Africans.

You mean to say the empire no longer exists right? This means nothing as the Africans have never had an empire to compare this to. The African people unfortunately had not progressed much since the iron age.

TheBoredOne - you are correct - Egypt is technically a part of the African continent. I can recall however having to financially bail out Egypt and its starving populace once though... they appear to have their act together unlike most of the remainder of Africa.
