War invasion is not a natural human instinct... Defense is. This is why the insurgents will always be pouring out of the cracks until we can show the Muslim world that our intention is to be an ally to the people and to create peace.

Here`s an idea: The military should provide language courses to the soldiers while they`re stationed overseas and give salary incentives as they show better conversational ability. They should represent Americans as we really are... not just angry rednecks with lots of ammunition.

Someone should send G.W Bush over there in a medivac so he could see what his war has done first hand.
But that would probably just cost more lives...

^^ "They should represent Americans as we really are... not just angry rednecks with lots of ammunition."

Yeah but...thats who we really are lol. Were worst than dogshit dude. The US killed more than 100,000 innocent civilians in just 5 years. There are videos all over the internet showing US troops using Civilians over there as target practice.

^The US military killed 100,000 innocent civilians. Not me. Not you. WE don`t want civilians to die... most of us don`t want ANYONE to die with the exception of Osama bin Laden. The vast majority of kids who joined the military did it because they want to protect us... not to go kill brown people. Recruiters are very talented salesmen in uniform. Don`t blame our kids in uniform... DO blame the adults in suits and uniforms.

The military command has forgotten about the people they represent thanks to an administration which never really cared about anything but money and conquest. Thanks to them, we`ve justified the terrorist cause and lost any moral high ground.

The whole world hates the United States... that screams to me that we`re the bad guy in this play. Most Americans recognize it and that`s why Obama is pulling in record levels of grassroots support.

As cliche as this may sound..."War is NOT the Answer".
Never was and never will be, those that benefit from it are few and far in between-it really has little if anything to do with protecting your country in the US case.
The problem with it is that war will always exist as it is part of human nature, derived from greed and the competitiveness at any price that defines what humans are...unfortunately. At our core we are organisms / hunters and gatherers, peace is impossible just as is a utopia but at the very least we should be striving towards it though this would be nearly impossible as most of us are now SO far up our own asses as a world we would have a tough time getting out and changing our ways even if some of us new better the majority would never...

Watch Zeitgeist Addendum carefully and take with you what you learn in the film.

Maslow said that at the Base of the Hierachy of Needs are the Psysiological needs (eating, breathing, etc...) then one step up Safety (Security of employment, family resources, etc...) then 3rd level Love/Belonging (Freindship, family, sexual intimacy) then Esteem (Respect For/By other, confidence, self Esteem, etc..) And on the highest level of the pyramid is Sefl Actualization (Morality, creativity, acceptance of facts, problem solving, lack of prejudice, etc...).
^War would fit in one step from the base of the pyramid on the Safety level...we need to be better than others to feel safety and make sure we have most of the resources... it is unavoidable essentially to eliminate war from society but at least it occurance should be minimized and more heavily frowned upon than it is now.

Watch Zeitgeist Addendum - Osama Bin Laden, Bush, Barack Obama, Al Qaida, terrorists, suicide bombers in the middle east....IRRELEVANT!

Hey Metal Observer ^^^ - maybe your right, the U.S killed 100,000 civs by collateral damage.
Where was your outcry when Hussein gased and bombed 290,000 civ and children on purpose.
Well i suppose we should have done something - we KIND of are now.
It was going to be messy WHENEVER we tried.
There is no negotiating with fuking dictators.. they just want more power.
Look at Mugabe - im sick of this guilt masked as empathy with wacko killers.
FUCK anyone who treats his people like his property. No matter how jaded you are by western democracy - its better than the middeast dictatorships and monarchies.

^ Many of them were killed on purpose for fun, didn`t know that? recently 16 marines commited suicide because they were afraid of getting charged for warcrimes and hundreds of soldiers right now are going to court and shit for brutal acts on innocent civilians. And I think everyone here(Unless you only watch CNN and Faux News) knows that The US Marines Sodomized many woman and even children. There are testimonies on this shit from soldiers.

And you do realize the majority and im talking about like 90 - 95% want the Soldiers out of there country right? The Kids there waving the American flag is just bull. Wake up.

Red Bull is sort of right... Zeitgeist`s addendum is important.

But Obama is NOT irrelevant. He may not be the answer, but he`s a step forward and not a step backward.

And so what if we`re hunters by nature? We`re also smart and highly social by nature. Call me naive, but what part of that makes peace impossible? Because it`s never happened before? I don`t need to show you how fast the human species is changing. Communication and education change the nature of EVERYTHING!

there was plenty of warning signs from this guy during this video, all the things he talked about battle stress are very important, battle stress is a strange thing, thats the kind of thing that makes you get up in the night and slaughter your family with even knowing it, but it would cost money to treat these guys so, no luck for them!!

"recently 16 marines commited suicide because they were afraid of getting charged for warcrimes and hundreds of soldiers right now are going to court and shit for brutal acts on innocent civilians."

unfortunatley this is very true, suicide rates just now in the US army are as much as 8 a WEEK!!! although i doubt you`ll hear that on fox!

this is the reason the british regulars very rarely do any exersices with the US, its also why the "insurgents" aka "civilains" dont attack the brits a tenth as much as they do the US, when we say hearts and mind it mean to win the support of the people, when use by the US military it mean blow their hearts and mind all over the place!!

its called depopulation, if your gonna premanently take over a country it helps when theres not a lot of people left to defend it and the ones that are know what will happen if they fuck about!!

I find this hard to listen to, not because of the content but because this guy has witnessed things that destroy the programming involved in his training. I hope he is able to reconcile the conlfict there.

Civilian mobs, civilian millitia, fanatically religeous civilians, drug cartels, street gangs. If we call anyone who opposes us "insurgents" it sounds better on the news when they get airstriked. but depopulation doesn`t work against Ideals, the more you kill the harder the ones left work.

The british forces in afganistan are attacked regularly in classic hit and fade guerrila style. although the taliban much prefer shooting christian aid workers in the street. May history forgive us for the shame of becoming involved, there is no honor to be salvaged. only more lives to be wasted.

p.s. no-one likes doing joint operation with the british because we "find" bits of equipment, we are known as "the borrowers" because our regulars are pathetically under equipped and trained to take advantage where available.

a quote from the book "The Pianist" by Wladyslaw Szpilman - something you didn`t see in the movie.

Umshlagplatz (scuse my own translation):
"Among the bodies of men and women you could also see the remains of two little girls with their heads utterly crushed. They were lying beneath a wall spattered with blood and brain. They were murdered in the germans favorite way: grabbed by their legs, and with great momentum smashed on the wall."

how the hell do people watching these scenes cope with them? O_o

would i?

i hope i won`t ever have to go to war and find out. O_o

Super traumotized medic..
He has semi-coherent statements but his eyes are almost glazed over, probably picturing the things he`s talking about.
The brutality of War still hasn`t changed since the times we would stand in a field and take turns shooting at eachother.
War is caused strictly by political agendas, and is one of the worst efforts that human beings can make.

"War still hasn`t changed since the times we would stand in a field and take turns shooting at eachother"

But at least that was a semi-civilised and semi-dignified way to go about war. The generals or commanders usually had deep respect for their counterparts and to be a soldier really meant you were fighting for your country.

The act of hiding responsibility behind mechanisms of war, taking away the individuality of taking another life is what haunts people. Did this person deserve to die? Was this person a worthy adversary? Did they have dignity in death?

The human instinct is to defend, armies are for defense. An offensive army is a barbarian in disguise. To subjugate almost 60 million people for the acts of a few dozen, IS immoral .
