He just wants your vote so presidential canindates will say anything to get your vote. So lets hope if Obama is becomes president he`ll keep his word. Like so many others presidents have failed to. I still say vote for Ron.

^^ to be honest, I like Ron as much as the next guy, but a vote for him is a vote wasted, seeing as McCain is the republican nominee.

I`m not voting for Ron Paul. I wholly support Obama and this just seals the deal. I`m going to vote for someone that represents my interests. And that includes a free internet.

Is he bullshitting?

I doubt it, but if he is I`m voting against him when his term`s over.

That`s how representative government works with a swapping executive power people!

Anyone on Spiked that doesn`t cheer this promise should just go back to TV.

I won`t be holding my breath for all Obama`s promises to come true, but I do think he is actually honest and understands and believes in what he says. Can you imagine Bush EVER saying what Obama just said in this clip? Could he even grasp the meaning of the lines if he read them?

Let`s hope we can hold Obama to his word.

Don`t worry about him keeping his promise. Net Neutrality is an absolute no-brainer for O. Nobody in recent political history has incorporated the internet and communication tools into their campaign.

If you need any more convincing of Obama`s commitment to Net Neutrality and technology in general...

NY Post on an Obama Presidency and his first 100 days in office:

Which brings us to what may be the most fascinating achievement a President Obama is likely to accomplish within his first 100 days: technologically changing the way government works. This summer, Obama said that if elected, he would consider replacing the President`s weekly radio address (archaically known as "the fireside chat") with a weekly online chat, answering questions submitted via e-mail or IM. He`s planning to appoint a Chief Technology Officer, and will likely use the e-mail lists he`s built up during his campaign to further his agenda in the White House.

"If he wants to make an end-run around Congress, he can build mass support and have people pressure Congress directly."

Wasn`t there some guy named Ron something that was big on the internet a few months back?

But what people don`t seem to understand is even if Obama wants to do this, the house and senate still has to approve it. You think that`s really gonna happen?? I doubt it.

The House and Senate WILL approve it, or it`s their ass. They know that their constituents will vote them out if they don`t. Democrats are 100% commited to Net Neutrality. It`s one of the few issues they`ve took a stand on.

As for Ron something, YouTube videos and regular appearances on Alex Jones hardly compares to what Obama has done with the internet. Sorry, but this is not the primaries, this is a presidential campaign. Partly through the internet, Obama raised 150 million from small donors last month alone. Ron something couldn`t even knock Rudy 9iu11ani off 5th place in some states, some of which Rudy hadn`t even campaigned in.

It certainly is true that most politicians will tell you what you want to hear just to get your vote however, in the case of Obama, if he were just doing that and was actually lying through his teeth, then the lies would make themselves obvious. Kind of like how John McCain has that fake smile of his and blinks so much. You just know he`s a liar.

The way Obama supports certain things and opposes others in his left wing outlook, shows that he is being honest and has the people`s best interests at heart. If he were truely just saying these things to get peoples votes, then he wouldn`t be able to cover every topic eloquently and articulately without missing something which would put everything he talks about into doubt.

America certainly needs a president with the people`s best interests at heart and not the interests of the corporations and wealthy elite.

I also must add about net neutrality that this is something that really cannot be done. The United States is not the only ones who have a say in the matter of net neutrality. So if for instance it happens in the US, then other countries aren`t neccesarily going to follow suit and it will cause a lot of problems.

I think if this were to happen, the US would have their own internet and it would end up not being part of the rest of the world wide web.

Of course he is for net neutrality. There wont be a need to regulate the internet once all the people who would cause problems are rounded up and imprisoned in any of the 200+ FEMA camps already set up around the country. You know, the ones with the barbed-wire facing INWARDS. I gotta tell ya though, if the government came to my house and told me to get on a train, then they might as well go fuck themselves because so long as I am breathing I`m NOT GOING. I`ve seen what facists do to people who cooperate, the United States Government is no different.
