Just after WWI, Germany kept printing money and the inflation literally went up 4,000,000%. This is what helped Hitler get into power. hmmmmm... could history repeat itself?

Great vid but obviously was put together buy a liberal that just learned what inflation is, so he starts putting smart ass comments together with videos to show his new found intelligence.

Yes I am sure no one in Washington knows what inflation is or how it was caused, cause you know keeping track of trillions of dollars circulating every hour of every day by billions of people is an easy task, easy and watching duck tales and saying "oh so thats what`s wrong with Washington they just don`t know what inflation is, here let me educate them with a cartoon."

Of course the professional economists and some statistically insignificant proportion of the elected officials in Washington know what inflation is. There are still two legitimate problems being raised however - that they manage the economy recklessly, and too many people can`t see it because *they* don`t understand the basics of inflation.

If every voter in the country had a basic education in economics, wouldn`t they demand lower risks and lower inflation? I have and I do.

The Fed isn`t "printing" money. For every dollar used to bail out the economy, they must borrow is by issuing treasures (IOUs from the Gov). Investors buy the treasuries, so the number of dollars in the system stays the same.

Printing occurs when the government increases the number of dollars in the system without issuing IOUs. That said, the bailouts are incredibly bad for the economy in the long run, because the extra debt will raise long term interest rates, driving up interest on mortgages and other loans. This will cause house prices and other assets to fall in value even more than they already are. This is call deflation.
