lol @ you implying Katie Couric knows anything with your description...McCain obviously carries himself well, 21 years experience in US Senate, this interview was a joke, McCain walked all up and down Katie Couric...how you cannot see that McCain is ready to lead this country just baffles me...

It IS gotcha journalism, just as Barack Obama didn`t mean to say the "lip stick on a pig" comment and the media took that and ran with it.

McCain ran all over Katie Couric...and I reall would like to see how Obama is even CLOSE to being as qualified as even Sarah Palin. Even Joe Biden said he would be honored to run with McCain and said he whole heatedly did not think Barack Obama was ready or experienced enough to run for Pres. This is before he knew they would be running together. Truth Hurts.

Obama did mean to say "lipstick on a pig", It had nothing to do with Palin but I do believe he was aware idiots (you) would think it was a reference.

About the interview though, I find it amusing that McCain excuses Palin`s stance on terrorists in Pakistan by saying that she effectively does not know what she`s talking about and if she did she would agree with him.

Remember, instinctively conservative people experience authority behaviour like the rest of us experience sex. It NEEDS to be happening around them and to them and by them, or they feel lost. But the current American conservative culture doesn`t grant much authority to women, and Palin has been standing alone a lot lately.

So it was time for an established authority to come and share some of his approval to Palin, to boost her legitimacy in the instinctive minds of the conservative following (flock). This has nothing to do with logic, truth, consistecy, or reasoning. It`s about rubbing the right spot in the minds of the sheeple, so they can feel satisfied that everything is right. Palin`s failures in the media have been causing an authority crysis, and this interview should set it straight.

Katie gave her a wide open opportunity to admit that she strayed from the advice of the campaign about disclosing military plans. Sure it may have been "Gotcha" journalism, but this was her opportunity to act like a grownup and say that she said a bit too much. Although I`m glad she didn`t because I really love hating her.

Besides... we`re ALREADY striking targets in Pakistan... don`t they read the NEWS! They`ve started to weave the web of lies long before they even reach the office!
