It`s great that he brought up the 600+ Billion dollars injected today, with no Government bill.. He`s right, this 700 Billion makes no sense, unless you realize the Gov`t had to finally make this soon to be collapse, public. This is merely a wake up call to the, `Sheeple`, so that they can finally now start agreeing, since they saw it on, `FOX` that the economy is in trouble. This will help subdue the riot`s when it happens, because w/ this bill defeated, the collapse that would have occured either way, will now they have a scape goat.. It`s perfect!

Either way we are fucked and that`s what he meant by the Fed can still play w/ the value of the dollar and so there`s really nothing we can do other than stop electing republicrats into every level of office that we can vote on. If we all went 3rd party we could kick the old out, have them arrested. Then take their trust funds and give it back to the people they stole it from.

No more free health care for part time workers like the Congress and Senate. Only full time employees should get covered on taxpayer dollars. Fund raising and campaining doesn`t = working for the people.

Ok, the guy might be a bit odd in a cute, impish kind of way and he might have a few extreme polocies but he`s an articulate, inteligent breath of fresh air after all the twisting, spinning and just plain bullshiting that most poloticians do when they try to speak on even the most simple subject.
Ron Paul is a really sincere dude. I hope he exerts a strong influence on the nations attitude to Washington.

ya he has the real no spin zone. I like that he is saying the exact opposite of what the main stream media is saying. I wish I believed in democracy like he does.

He is right the FED has to be stopped at all cost. I have asked about 20 people I know to explain who they are voting for and why. Do you know what they answer with? sound bites!!!

It is really ridiculous. What is more ridiculous is that the main stream media hasn`t covered the FED`s print out of 600 billion. Seriously I want my degree and to get out of dodge.

Ron Paul is one of the few things that keeps me hopeful about what`s going on in Washington. He`s essentially the only politician that I genuinely believe is telling the truth. We need more of that.

now I respect Ron Paul more than any other politician In America. However, Capitalism leads to "corporationalism", that`s been the case since 18th century with earliest corporations and so, their earliest scams. He shouldn`t be so blindly respecting the market this much, no one should, no force should be left unchecked, specially the main force of control in society. The market only respects monetary value. I like to think I value more. But he is one of hte best voices the people have got, so I still would support him on his current stance compare to any other prominent politican.

This is spin, 600bn pumped into the market is not the same. That is money made available to banks to lend to each other, it is not payments it is a loan source.
The 700bn is to buy toxic debt, thats the sub prime mortgages which is choking the banking system and affecting the WORLD economy.
It is not throwing money away. The US government would hold the mortgages on its books until the market recovers then put the houses up for sale.
This needs to happen to get banks lending to each other again. At the moment the bank interlending system has seized up, no one wants to lend because the banks they lend to may not have enough money to pay them back.
Bush is trying to get that system going again by this bill, he knows it not only affects banks lending to each other but banks lending to the companies and small guy who need loans to keep operating, if they don`t, companies could go bust, joe public lose his job, he can`t pay his mortgage, more toxic debt and prices go up even more.
BTW I am brit nor a yank, labout supporter and we took $100bn of toxic debt on our books yesterday for the same reason, but your economy is a driving force in the world economy, so u go down, we all go down.

Am I the only one who feels Ron Paul speaks and thinks like George Carlin? If you really listen to him and analyze his voice and speaking habits it`s almost a bit uncanny. I think that`s why I like him so much. He really does lay everything out there in an educated but understandable way that a broad majority of his audience can absorb.
