Finally, after weeks of feeling like the Democrats were losing ground in the face of the Palin candidacy announcement . . .

. . . I finally see the cards turning. Palin is a disaster for McCain, and he might be best served selecting another running mate.

To be perfectly honest, as a fiscal conservative, the old McCain was an appealing candidate to me (McCain 2002 was his best vintage). But when you turn against your ideals, you make mistakes, and Palin is the biggest sympton of what went wrong with McCain.
