As long as you speak in a British accent, you can pass for a Soviet or a German in American film

Pure entertainment factor, this film is fine...historically, its little better then Pearl Harbour

^ I thought that "A Knight`s Tale" was historically accurate.

The same principle applies if your Greek or Roman British accents prevail everywhere through out all ages. I think even in Quest for fire they had British accents.

Ed harris wasnt convincing has a german sniper, he was 100% american accent behavior etc, but the film is still great with this minor flaw

The reason they use the English language is because very few would bother to see it if it was in German(or any other language for that matter).

Most people understand English.

I think you`d rather want them to speak English instead of being busy reading the subtitles, so you don`t miss out on anything.

And of course, the goal is not always just to make a good movie, but to make a profit too, therefore they change some things to make it more profitable, as in more people will bother going to the movies to see it or buy it later.
