Obama needs to welcome in the independants and outcasts. He would gain maybe an extra 10% or more votes if he said, "Ron Paul, I am listening. Ralph Nader, I am listening. Bob Barr, I am listening. Come all, and let`s work this thing out together." He could get them let into the debates, where Americans would find out that McCain is the out of touch whacko, and that voices for real change are inclusive, and cooperative. While many of the prosed means for improvement might be different between these candidates, but many of the end goals are very much the same. Basic humanism, somehow. Get the government and big corporations off our backs, make them work fairly FOR US, not against us. Obama would do well to listen to the other guys. He would gain huge respect and support, and demonstrate his honesty to his stated principles.

If he played it right, he could go down in history as the guy who broke the two party stranglehold, united the many sides for a true open democracy, and got their support enough to win and make it happen. In the end, it wouldn`t hurt him either, because he would be competing on a stage where the Neocons would stand out as the facist pigs they are, along with all their billionaire buddies, and clearly shine as the true disgusting freakish minority they actually are.

I don`t care how honourable McCain is, the Neocons are way past the point of unforgivable. McCain could fucking be Jesus II, it`s still time for him to retire in his senility. No puppet can redeem the Neocons.

Exploder, McCain is not honourable. He called Obama a pervert the other day, because Obama supports sex education and wants to protect kids from pedophiles. McCain didn`t even use a 527, it came directly from his campaign. But in doing so, McCain basically announced he`s pro-pedophile. He is quite possibly scummiest, sleaziest candidate to ever run for presidency.

Palin also charged rape victims to pay for their own forensic tests when she was mayor of Alaska. The women is a friggin` nutjob.

^ Thanks Zytemis, I appreciate the support, especially as the Republitards are getting more vocal these days. But me educated, maybe not so much. At least my opinions are mostly founded on compassion. I try to pay attention, and think for myself, and I think it`s important to have quality dialogue about these things.

^ PorridgeGun, I certainly won`t argue, I just tried to give McCain the benefit of doubt, since I haven`t bothered much to bone up on the Neocon`s next puppet monkey. I saw some vids of his deeply retarded gaffes, and they clearly spoke dementia to me. Maybe they put him on better drugs now for the heat of the campaign. No matter, we know he`s not pulling his own strings.

After watching this vid of Obama (in spite of the overlap with his famous acceptance speech), I think he`s the guy we need as US Prez. I don`t care if he`s only the lesser of two evils, I don`t care if he`s had to sell out six ways to Sunday to get where he is (who wouldn`t, God?). I believe that he`s honestly compassionate, that he is trying to do whatever it takes to get the power to do the right things. That`s not something you can say about anyone related to the Neocons. It`s also obvious the guy is actually passably intelligent, and that`s terribly critically overdue right now.

It seems to me that the Neocons are trying to consolidate the US into a one party system, by denying that there are any viable alternatives. The facist party or bust, they say. FUCK THEM. That`s what made me think that Obama could wield a powerfull weapon by using his clout to include the alternates; it would help break the Neocon spell that is hurting his chances.

Anyways, said it before, and here it is again: Obama is the only guy who has any chance to stop the Neocons. So he is the only choice. Fix the elections systems, sure, allow other candidates a chance in future elections, great. But vote Obama now to stop the Neocons. Slim as that hope is, it is presently America`s only one. Any other option just puts the Neocons in, and America really can`t afford that.

Add this to the end of the clip: "I`m Fannie Mae, and he`s Freddie Mac, and we approve this message." granted they`re not real people.

The same people that ruined this economy are the same people that started his career, and helped him choose Biden. It`s time for another grandoise over the top speech again Mr Obama, this time telling us how the CEO`s of mortgage companies don`t speak for you. First it was "God damn America" and now it`s "God damn the American Economy, where`s my golden parachute!" Who`s actually going to run the country if he`s elected President? Maybe Barbra Streisand can fill in a cabinet position, and her nose another...

I just don`t think Obama is the person for the job this time around. Last election I went with Bush, because I didn`t believe Kerry could do all he was saying he would. Before that I did vote for Gore. And I did vote for Clinton over Bob Dole. This time I`m going with McCain.

Do you even know WHY you`re voting for McCain? Have you even sat down to THINK about it? For Christ`s sake, he picked Palin not because he thinks that she would be a great president, but for the votes of women. And you think that Obama isn`t "the person for the job"?! The guy has made responsible decisions up till now, including addressing his shortcomings i.e. foreign policy experience, which he has addressed with Biden who has ages of experience. You`re a loon if you think McCain is going to be what`s best for this country.

Obama and the Democrats opposed the legislation that would have averted the Freddie/Fannie meltdown:

Yeah, you guys scream that it was deregulation which caused this? You`re absolutely right!! And the above bill, co-sponsored by John McCain, would have put HEAVY regulation upon Freddie/Fannie and avoided the whole debacle.

So, you guys can bury the facts under your unadulterated worship for Obama, or perhaps, you can pull your heads out long enough to realize that Democrats helped create the mess as much as the rest of our government!

CAPICHE?!!!

We need to change the way change is progressing so we can change America. Change is necessary for change to be successful, where change is the primary factor causing change. America needs change and change is always good.

CAPITAL GAINS TAX
MCCAIN
0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples). McCain does not propose any change in existing home sales income tax.

OBAMA

28% on profit from ALL home sales. (How does this affect you? If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes. If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will adversely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.)

DIVIDEND TAX

MCCAIN

15% (no change)

OBAMA

39.6% - (How will this affect you? If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes if Obama becomes president. The experts predict that `Higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains would crash the stock market, yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.`)

INCOME TAX

MCCAIN
(no changes)

Single making 30K - tax $4,500
Single making 50K - tax $12,500
Single making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 60K- tax $9,000
Married making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 125K - tax $31,250

OBAMA (reversion to pre-Bush tax cuts)

Single making 30K - tax $8,400
Single making 50K - tax $14,000
Single making 75K - tax $23,250
Married making 60K - tax $16,800
Married making 75K - tax $21,000
Married making 125K - tax $38,750
Under Obama, your taxes could almost double!

INHERITANCE TAX
MCCAIN

- 0% (No change, Bush repealed this tax)

OBAMA

Restore the inheritance tax

Many families have lost businesses, farms, ranches, and homes that have been in their families for generations because they could not afford the inheritance tax. Those willing their assets to loved ones will only lose them to these taxes.

NEW TAXES PROPOSED BY OBAMA

New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet. New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren`t high enough already) New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity) New taxes on retirement accounts, and last but not least....New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same level of medical care as other third-world countries!!!
