Shame its got the same DRM restrictions as Spore.

Only a certain amount of installs allowed per disc and the Malware SecuROM.

EA are intending to put these DRM restrictions on ALL future games from EA (Source: thread i posted earlier).

@fryser_d:
Empire are a fun race in RA3. Completly different style from Soviets/Allies, they do actually add to the game.

@fox2020:
Its an anti-climax.. as when you finish the cutscene, the females in-game looks like old-grannies and sound like them also.

@Est:
The game is balanced around hard-counters. If your interested in RA3 for the competitive multiplayer side.. dont bother. Its not fun, its not interesting, its not unique.
To Add abit to that:
1. Navy combat is pretty pointless, its forced on the user and in 80% of games is utterly useless, while in the other 20% its OP (in different circumstances). At no time is it balanced.
2. The Economy system is the worse ever seen, it takes no skill and the game is usually over before you need to take an expansion.
3. The capturable oil-rigs are OP, so the game is often decided within the first minute by whoever captures them or stops the other person capturing them.
4. Red Alert no longer has an emphises on tank combat.
5. Empire is OP due to the way it can build all on the map, taking stratigic positions with ease.

I`m hoping red3 is as good as red2 but I`m thinking the might just be a bit too silly and empire earth 3.

What I`m really looking forward to starcraft 2 ;) I feel it would have a more professional, serious and balanced feel to it.

But I guess only time will tell.
(off to play red2:yuris revenge)
