The meaning of that line is that we need to fucking crash through this read tape and actually DO some of things that people have planned to do. All kinds of EXTREMELY helpful projects don`t get done because of red tape. Look at the UN for christ`s sake.

anyway, what do you mean by red tape? surly red tape isn`t the only problem. Even when the UN agrees that something should be done and sends in peace keepers it fucks up. You have reports of peace keepers raping locals and many financial scandals. My point is that the poem makes the world out to be very simple, if things were as easy to solve as "just do it" then it would have been done by now. what exactly are people suppose to do? what are you doing that makes you think you can make others feel guilty about the way they live. I can appreciate the skill needed to write the poem, I just think the message is a bit bullshit.

I think what black stallion is referring to when he says red tape is the fact that you have to go through so much bureaucracy just to get things done.

For example. If you are a land owner and find a gold nugget or oil on your land, you have to go through a ton of paperwork just to ensure you can claim it as your own. Or, melt down the gold and use it yourself and not tell anyone. lol. :P

Point is, there is more talk than action, and this impedes progress. People need to stop thinking about how much something costs to get done and just get it done for the benefit of that need.

I live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and here in the province of Quebec the government is so cheap that the roads here are the worst in North America. Anyone who has been here will tell you how shitty our roads are. What`s even worse than the government not fixing the roads is the fact that they have outlawed people from suing the city/government for damages done to their vehicles by potholes.

This is what black stallion is saying by red tape. It`s basically governmental red tape with dollar signs on it with fine print saying, "We don`t care about progress, you, efficiency, or your well being. All we care about is how fat our wallets are."

Granted, it is certainly true that nothing will be done just because of this one guy`s poem, but that`s not the point of it at all. He`s not trying to get the leaders of the world to wake up and change, he is trying to deliver a message to the people who are being forced to submit themselves to a malevolent authority.

We can only hope that people will learn from the mistakes of the past and not let history repeat itself again.

You`ve only picked out one line of a very long poem that addresses many topics.
I have several more poems that address all kinds of other problems, with the nation, with love, with me, and then other poems about other things. Stop being so cynical and try to do even the smallest thing. If this doesn`t wake you up, it might wake up someone...
