What is it about his wife that you do not like? She appears to be supportive of her husband and the two seem to be truly in love.

But I digress; if you listened to his speech at all, he openly states that this presidency is not about him- it is about us. I greatly appreciated his frankness and would like to see more of his plans for our nation if he becomes president.

Personally, I choose to look past superficiality like skin color. There is no reason to judge someone simply based off the color of their skin. I mean, come on- what has history and science (not to mention humanity) taught us all of these years? We are all human.

Also, if you are judging him merely based off of stereotypes, then I am forced to call you `racist`. Stereotypes exist for every race of people, and they themselves are not racist- no, they waver at the borderline. However, to go past stereotypes, you venture into the realm of racism.

In my mind, there is only one true race in the world, and that is the human race.

Also, you both have commented within 5 minutes of me uploading the video- so there is no way that you could have possibly watched it in length. It is my opinion that: only once watched/listened to/read in it`s entirety, can you provide true intellectual and analytical comments.

Keep in mind that I do not follow you around in your personal lives; so I don`t know if you have watched his speech at another time. However, based off of your comments, I am assuming that you would rather be quick to give a racist/sexist/unintelligent rebuttal than ever watch his speech.

Barack`s change = NWO Change...It is no different than Bush, Cheney, McCain, Hillary`s, "Change", just a different spin. And the sheeple in this audience are going to seal their fate, when and if this election, goes through.

/disclosure/

1. I`m a Canuck. So what happens to my American neighbors has a large impact here too. And so I care.

2. I`m a human, so I care when 300 million people get hosed locally, and billions more all over the world, by THE WORST MAFIA in the history of humanity: currently called Neocons, or the "military industrial complex". It makes it even worse when those degenerate madmen control the world`s largest armies and largest arsenal of nuclear bombs and other weapons of mass destruction. We should all be very, very afraid.

3. My personal best choice for American President is Ron Paul. Of all the politicians who might merit the office, he stands like a giant amongst ants with respect to decency, wisdom, honesty, and humility. Sadly he has never really had a chance, the way politics works these days.

/end disclosure/

So, I thought this speech was phenominal. And it bloody well better have been considering how much it cost. It was genuinely amazing, profoundly moving, relevant, intelligent, blah blah blah, it actually honestly brought tears to my eyes (really great dreams should).

But above all else it was profoundly uniting. Which is so desperately needed about now. I hope that if nothing else, his superb rhetoric can bring enough people genuinely to peace with each other that there cannot be so much war and hatred. That could be real, indeed it should be.

But then, I wonder just as much if this is the uniting of the lambs for slaughter. Under what flag should we unite? Obama`s American dream, or a new union after the revolution when the people stand truly free, truly liberated, truly independant, if that is even possible. I don`t know if he`s just going to have us prop up a fatally broken and sinister machine, or if we need to violently tear it down to get free of it, or if we even could.

I do know this: anyone who votes for the Neocons (McCain) is worse than a fool. Anyone who does not rise up in arms should they STEAL (win?) another election, will be a slave. Perhaps Obama can start a real shift away from the facist police state you have become. But if he`s actually just a better puppet, at least you can all have the warm fuzzy-wuzzies while you serve your masters.

What happens to the US has a large impact on the rest of the world now since 911. the US`s way of controlling alot of the world with fear.

Obama would not be able to reverse what the US has done but would be able to change the worlds view of the US, but will take a very very long time.

I feel the same way about his speech and about this presidential race.

There is no way for me to be sure if Obama is merely a presidential puppet like many before him, or if he is actually sincere in his quest for peace and the true American way.

Despite my uncertainty of Obama`s sincerity, I will vote for him unless a scandal erupts (Not a sex scandal, I could care less about his sex-capades, just as long as it doesn`t affect his work as president. By scandal, I mean a situation where he is found to be taking bribes, selling secrets, etc) or we have a revolution. I will not be voting for McCain and am frankly outraged by his pick for vice-president- it shows his sleazy character and that he is going to be just like the previous presidency.

As a woman (yes, females exist on the internet), it would be nice to have a female be president or high up in office. However, that is not my main concern for the moment; my current main concern is what`s best for this country. McCain`s pick is an unknown from Alaska, which immediately raises a red flag for me- I will not deny that she has experience in government, but let`s face it, Alaska is a different beast.

So far, her only qualifications that the republicans have been flaunting, is that she`s a woman, she has a good smile, and that she`s a milf in everyone`s eyes. It angers me how they are showboating her around and how she is actually allowing them to use her femininity as a political strategy. We did not come all of this way for this.

I also wanted to point out, that we are not all pompous American jerks- though I feel like it certainly seems like that to the rest of the world. Because of Bush, I have become embarrassed to be an American, and that just isn`t right. Where did my sense of national pride and self go? Every country should have it, but America`s is dwindling.

I was too young to vote before, but I am certainly voting in this election. I do not want another "Bush" in office, so the only thing I can do with my vote is vote for change. I think we as a people are all waiting so see what will happen in this next presidency. We have been beaten down and dumbed up by the bush administration; but hopefully, when the time comes, at least some of us will be able to stand up and fight for what we believe in.

If Obama is what we need for that change, so be it. If a revolution is what we need for that change, I`m there. It is not going to be easy, it is not going to be quick, it will be hard to ignore our differences and egos, but it`s the only way we can achieve our common goal. People, this is our chance, and it could be our last, let`s make things right.

How cute.

I am an Australian and I am as interested in the American president election as much as the aussie PM election, because it does have an impact on the rest of the world now, unfortunately.

Living outside America I see how the rest of the world views The US (had to correct it to save the Canadians angst =P), without having TV sensor it all. The Americans I know who live out here now are shocked to see how the orld views The US. We know the main blame is on the government, but the arrogance of the government and the Military does not shine a good light on rest on the US as a whole. Even before 911 Americans have always been looked down upon, mainly because of the arrogant way it handles international matters. Eg from Soldiers rapping women and killing villagers in the Vietnam War, to supplying weapons to African warlords.

The US always seems to always have an agenda to go to war.

It seems that Obama wants to fix all of that. I hope he does.

Please elaborate why you think "Obama is fail". You may have a very interesting argument/case for your reasoning, but your way of expressing your thoughts on the matter has frankly "failed" in my eyes.

^^ To: fryser_d

Indeed, in America, it always seems like we have to vote for the lesser of two evils (despite the fact that our votes really don`t count anyways). In my eyes, Democracy is similar to Communism; they are both great on paper, but when it is implemented in society, people`s greed and aptitude for being corrupt really starts to shine.

I have been saying this for years, and with the way things work in our society, I will probably being saying this for years to come: We need to modernize and clean up the Democracy that our Fore Father`s have built from the ground up. We need some serious change.

TV censorship is one of the worst things a government and companies with hidden agendas can do to the populace- it hinders us from achieving the truth, which would help us take better actions. Yes, the main blame is on the government, but it is also on us. We have been brainwashed and kept from important information; but with this new internet-based age, it is our duty to seek the truth and act upon it. We now have another medium to get our unadulterated news/info from, yet we are collectively still acting blasé about everything. For that reason, I believe that the populous is also at fault.

It does seem like the US always seems to have an agenda (hidden or not) to go to war. Critically thinking, I understand the logic and reasoning behind creating war back in the old days (i.e. attaining independence, freedom from slavery) as well as for our more modern World Wars I-II (modern in an historic sense, that is). Back in the days of the first two World Wars, America made most of their own products themselves instead of outsourcing to find cheap labor. Because of this, the war helped created a boom in the economy as well as stop Hitler from his evil deeds.

However, in modern times, nearly everything product we buy in the US has been made in another country and many of our much needed jobs are being outsourced to 3rd world countries where the pay is so low, that it should be a crime. As a result, we are losing our working middle class and are becoming a nation divided. The prospect of money and power makes people do crazy things; crazy things like starting a war in the name of freedom/peace/revenge when your only real reason is because of the profits a select few will get from stealing/harvesting the country`s oil. I`m sick of it.
