Absolutely fascinating. 5/5

I get a feeling that this kind of technology may even help some individuals who cannot walk regain the ability to walk without the technology if the reason they cannot walk in the first place is caused by something in the brain.

Kind of like in one of those TED talks where this one guy was explaining a therapy that involves people who have lost limbs but have a lot of pain in the missing limb (ghost limb). In that particular video they used mirrors to allow the person to percieve their arm moving with the reflection of their other arm. In doing this the brain relearned how to move the "ghost arm" so to speak.

In some who are unable to walk, there might be a brain function that is not being used, or cannot be used, which has resulted in their inability to walk. Such a technology like this one featured in the video may very well enable people to regain their ability to walk.

Others who are more misfortunate and lost the ability to walk due to a spinal cord injury are another matter altogether.

However, it is a safe bet that this technology will certainly change a lot of lives just the same and precipitate further research and developement into this technology and other similar technologies. :)

That is rather immense. Still though, I`d rather me one of those military ones that can carry 200pounds of weight on its back. AThe one thing that would really make this device viable is the power source. It needs to be better than just batteries. I mean, what if they run out, does he just slump to the floor or is he stuck where he is. We need to sort this damn energy crisis. The government should start sharing some of these alternate power sources you just know they have!
