This is bullcrap. Gold is not immune to water and oxygen. I`ve got a pile of rusty gold bars sitting in a safe deposit box. Dad says it`s my rightful inheritance for being his fave son. Mom just lol`s approvingly every time he says that.

Man I never fancied any jewellery. Since the material will out last my lifetime. So whats the point of spending money on expensive metal, I would rather get something that will keep me in content. After all, its just a material. All this hard work to give ourselves luxury.

^you can make lots of money off gold by buying low and selling high, but gold really has no real world use. At least not as many uses as silver. As silver can purify water.

Verh544, although gold does not have A LOT of real world uses, it is used very often in electronics since it doesn`t corrode or oxidise and its a great conductor.
