John McCain Insults American Laborers-Ap...

Not content merely to sacrifice his dignity to the religious right, presidential hopeful John McCain took his Straight Talk Distress routine to a new low: insulting the work ethic of unionized American tradesmen. A speech Tuesday to the AFL-CIO Building and Construction Trades Department was punctuated by boos from the crowd. McCain succeeded in laughing off most of jeering.

In a way its true. Exit any free way and what do you see, a black or white person asking for change. And if you ever see a Mexican or "latin person" at the freeway its because he wants to sell you some flowers that you may need to get laid tonite. Who would you rather give your money too. There are plenty of jobs that people just will never do. And you can say deport him or racist comments, but the reality is, you need these people, to pick your food, run your gas stations and cut your yard. People are just ignorant and dont want to hear this shit. have you ever seen a homeless asian? theyd rather kill themselves with a sword than be begging. No Honah!!

Thanks for being the first to comment on this. I believe what the argument is that American`s will not work for pennies. So let an immigrant do the job for less. Now, will you work in the fields picking lettuce for $50 an hour. I sure the hell would. We want to get paid for our hard labor. American`s aren`t lazy they just don`t want to be taken advantage of.

^Of course not, americans want to be the ones taking advantage of others. you have to understand, that for an immigrant, 6.75 is 50 dollars an hour in thier country. the problem lies in the society of people who are groomed to expect more for less. Immigrants come here with nothing almost dead from sneaking here For a CHANCE not a sure thing But a CHANCE to try and live here. And those who live here have the opportunity to go to school and have social security and be in the system. Some where along the lines, people forgot that living in america is a privilage, not a right.

I`m an American and I get no thrill taking advantage of someone. I will work for $50 an hour and will do just about anything. Do you get paid that much? I used to live in one of the most expensive cities in the world and the most I could make was $20 an hour. But with $1500 a month rent, groceries, a gold digging girlfriend that $20 an hour got spread really thin. I don`t mind working hard as long as I get paid for it and respected by my peers. What`s wrong with a labor job as long you make a living wage?

The system is set up so that the small and medium business can prosper. My local restaurants for example have no problem hiring illegal immigrants because they work for less. Much is the same with farming and manufacturing jobs. The problem of illegal immigration is no one wants to argue that making more profit sucks.

regardless of whether or not you get a thrill of it you still benefit from people who are taken advantage of. Not just in America but all over the world. And sadly thats the way the world works. Now living in the city is hard. But you have to remember you chose your lifestyle, it didnt choose you. You didnt have to have a money grubbing girlfriend or an 1500 rent apartment. or buy expensive groceries. You really dont have to have any of those things. Now its nice to have have a nice apt. or a exp. girl or lots of groceries. but you choose that. but you have to understand your not alone, your not the only one who pays those bills and barely gets by. If it bothered you enough you would have taken the initiative to make more for yourself. But you didnt, you chose to go to bonemyoung University, and have expensive things at the moment. You obviously dont regret it and you shuoldnt because you liked having all those things. but if you made 20 dollars than thats all you deserve because if you really "Should" have been earning more you would have. but the reality is your boss looked at you and said you are worth these measly 20 dollars/ hour and you JUMPEd at the opportunity. Now, lets look at immagrants. They see that 6 dollars and hour and JUMP! because sadly they know thats all they are worth. Just because you are in a "higher living class" doesnt mean your struggles in life are different from anyone elses.
