George is my fav comedian, not sure about the acid though, I know at least 30 people who have taken it(including me) and it was fun but some friends got really fucked up from it.

If his mind opened up from it either it was a coincidence or maybe the acid killed of area of brain cells that held the supressing thoughts he had.
