It`s like that in a lot of places over the world. Some places driving is a gamble. Last time I was in Malaysia there were about 30 of us waiting on one of those pedestrian islands, in between where traffic can either turn or go straight, waiting for the light to cross. Well This guy was at the front of his traffic lane waiting to go straight and I guess decided he`d rather turn and drove up onto the pedestrian island to get into the turning lane. a few other cars followed his lead and all us had to run in to traffic to dodge the cars coming onto the sidewalk lol. That`s just the way it is in a lot of places.

Most places like that the motorbikes don`t actually ride on the road if they can help it and stay to the shoulder because if you`re in the way, you get bumped out of the way, literally. Plus the fact that you often see up to FIVE people on ONE little motorbike. LOL, it`s crazy, motorbike as a minivan.
