M0re B33r: if you do the same basic thing to coal, you get coke, which powers the foreign steel mills.

As for the stomach cancer thing, fuck it. I love the taste of hardwood charcoal cooking my burgers. Briquettes are okay. Propane blows chunks. Like numnums said, gas or propane BBQ / grill? Might as well cook it on the stovetop.

^ I learned that on the Venture Brothers. I also saw how people make this stuff on dirty jobs with Mike Rowe. I was a much smaller operation where five rednecks burned a bunch of wood in one of those huge cargo bin trailers and then dug it out with a forklift.. This way seems much easier.
