how come trilobites died out and flies did not? people say a astroid hit the earth, wouldn`t it have killed the land based creatures first?
Evolution start from scratch?

Dragonfly`s live for 24 hours so how did they live long enough to evolve?

They said the instects were not the direct decendant of the trilobites but are put together on the same evolitionary branch. More inconsistancies.

"Dragonfly`s live for 24 hours so how did they live long enough to evolve?"

evolution is the result of mutations that happen before an organism is even born, not during the lifetime of the organism. If dragonflies live for 24 hours that means they are able to reproduce alot faster than humans. That means more dragonflies being born more rapidly, which means more chance for mutations to occur.

if that is so the fish they have found in the middle of evolving eyes is a hoax?

^yeah vote me down when i ask a resonable question.

can someone please anwer me why do people go on the defense when i question this documentary and evolution?

Really, am i ment to just go along with what they say without questioning it? or am i asking the wrong questions because people cant answer them? Isn`t science all about asking questions?

it seems to me people will follow evolution without questioning it and follow blindly and have the attitude of "if someone said it is true and fact it must be". people here like to keep questioning creationists but when i question evolution i get shot down and called names.

People who cant answer a question about something they strongly believe in they usally go into defence mode and attack people.

At least there are some people in here who have a brain and think before they react (york and watersnake6) i ask a question and he answers not going into defence mode.

I can see spikedhumor is filled with people who are adolescent and who lead with their emotion without thinking.

Mystic

I must agree that even evolutionists can be too dogmatic. the virtue of questioning ones beliefs is something everyone should invoke. As for the fish, same as york, I`m not sure what particular fish you are talking about, but I would like to point out that their is almost every stage of the `assumed` evolution of the eye existing today. Not just in fossils but in live animals. The bivalve mollusc`s cup shaped eye, Nauilus`s pinhole eye, the ragworm`s covered sphere shaped eye without the lens and many more. Evolution is never finished. it`s always a work in progress. Also their is no reason to think every gene of every species should evolve at the same rate. My examples are meant simply to show that each step up towards the camera eye of mammals has a benefit to the creature possessing the `in between` eye. So if your reference to the fish "in the middle of evolving eyes" is a fish with rudimentary eyes, then it could very well not be a hoax. But if in a single generation this fish went from light sensitive photocells to a camera type fish eye then yes it is definitely a hoax because the probability of this happening without the natural selection process is just outlandish.

@york

"well Im not sure what youre talking about, could you post a link to an article. "

What i was saying is if what you said ("evolution is the result of mutations that happen BEFORE an organism is even BORN not during the lifetime of the organism.") was true then the fish that was found going through the evolutionary change must be a fake.

there is a deep sea fish biologists found who say show the evolutionary change of the eyes.

"there is a deep sea fish biologists found who say show the evolutionary change of the eyes."

Again I am assuming because I have not seen anything on this particular fish. But what I would assume is that this particular fish has a/n gene/s that are different then the others of his species. This mutated gene is one of the many that controls the development of the eye. Therefor his eyes are different then the others. This isn`t contrary to what york said because the mutation of the gene that caused the change most likely would`ve actually happened during the replication process in the fishes parent(or farther back in it`s lineage). The parent wouldn`t have altered eyes because it`s eyes would already be fully formed. Not to mention that every gene single gene is in every single cell, but not all of them are actively affecting your body (The genes that control eye color are also in the cells in your toes but the ones in your toe are not `turned on` per say) So a gene that is altered in sperm/eggs won`t affect you but will affect the next generation.

To be fair though yorks statement is a little miss leading. While this is the typical way that evolution works, there are situations in which an altered gene will affect the the original creature. Radiation can do just that but there are many other instances.
