The First Appearance of Boba Fett

This 10 minute clip was from the 'Star Wars Holiday Special' which aired Christmas 1978. The 2 hour special was universally regarded as a flop and Lucas said he would do anything to make it disappear. This is the very first appearance of Boba Fett in the Star Wars Universe.

Yes, the rest of the show was live action with the actual actors, including Art Carney and Bea Arthur

The Star Wars Holiday Special is one of my all-time favorite bad videos. It`s so hideous you can`t tear your eyes away from it. The animation, though, should have been the pilot for a Saturday morning cartoon. It doesn`t look like anything else that was on TV at the time. I`m sure somebody must have pitched the idea to Lucas. I wonder why he didn`t do it?

I have to agree, it has very good voice acting, wasn`t a bad cartoon for 1978, and does very much look just like Heavy Metal.
