i bought the first one and i gotta say it is a regrettable purchase skating games are all the same i mean 8 tony hawk games whats next they use hover boards?

um, tony hawk games and ea skate are nothing alike. You can`t grind elephants in skate.

Just over a year after the first game came out? It makes me wonder if they were either holding out from the first game or if they barely upgraded this one.

Graphics look better, not that the first one weren`t amazing already. You can move objects around and I see new tricks and instead of having to spend months timing a trick to get your board to go under a rail, while you go over it, it looks like its a trick of its own. Other than that, the trailer doesn`t show too much.

If you`ve played the first, and are a fan, you know that Skate is a simulation, not an arcade game like Tony Hawk. You can`t go a million miles in the air, you can`t grind electrical cables and elephants. Being able to move objects around ALONE is worth buying over the first installment. This will give countless hours of replay value for hardcore Skate fans who probably already spend countless hours setting up the best looking runs and tricks in the static world of the first game.

I will pre-order and play it til it goes out of style.
