I don`t think you lot get the point. It`s a video of the sun, it`s not getting hotter, it`s not green, it`s not about to explode, it certainly isn`t going through an eclipse, it`s a normal video with a green tint so you can see the explosions easier.

i was with the understanding that the sun is a possible cause or additional cause of global warning. it is seen as a controversial theory by a lot of scientists because of its implications on current `facts`. its based upon the evidence that the ocean produces a lot more co2? than we could ever produce, i think. one of the flaws that was pointed out in current theories was that the increase in temperatures started before industrialization. this is not to say tho that we arent contributing to global warming but there is a larger picture here. i think :)

The explosions are called coronal mass ejection, or CME. High energy particles and plasma being violently projected into our solar system. The way the plasma follows the suns magnetic field is spectacular.

On a side note, it is possible an increase in solar activity could effect global temperature on earth, but this is normal, the sun always varies a little in it`s output. Infact, in the 80`s I believe it was, the sun jizzed such a huge glob of particles, grid cables in canada melted from the excess of induced power. I know this is partly because there is a lot of granite in the ground in canada, but my point is that our little star is incredibly powerfull.
