Nicknamed Eric the Eel. He became an Australian favourite. One of the great stories out of the Sydney Olympics. Entire Australia was cheering him on. To Erics credit, before this event, he never swam on Olympic size pool, to be honest he only ever got to practice on 20m pool in a hotel. Apparently Australians sponsored Eric for the Athens game, unfortunately he never got to compete, because of visa trouble. Quite a pity, since he improved himself to a PB under 57 secs. He even got nominated to be given Australian citizenship, Immigration department did not find a valid reason to process the application.

Roy and HG, born comedic geniuses, anything they do is better than gold. Them commenting on the State of Origin on Triple J, was the best I ever heard.

After swimming in high school for a semester I was doing 1:06s for the 100m, after having never swam before. IDK what this guy was doing there. His form was terrible (look at how he takes his whole head out of the wateR), his flip-turn was bad...eh w/e. GJ Chap.
