My guess is it`s a new form of robotic insect created by the government. Here`s a link to less advanced ones that they are already using, just imagine what the classified ones look like. My bet is it`s a lot like the one in this video...

freaky. maybe the whatever was left of the spine was triggering the very basic instinctual functions of the body.
i think it`s almost the same that happens when you cut a chicken`s head off.
that`s my best shot. probably wrong, but that`s the only thing that i know of that would explain this imo.

That wasp has got nothing on Mike the headless chicken...he lived for 18 months after his decapitation

^Mike was clearly a new form of robotic chicken created by the government to spy on carnies and side show patrons.

What did you think? that since the creature operates almost entirely off of instinct with no need for higher thought that the brain stem which can remain intact after decapitation and controls reflex as well as respiration/heart rate remained thus allowing the animal to perform basic instinctual actions void of thought giving it the appearance of life? do you have any idea how stupid that makes you sound?

it`s clear people, rival governments have engineered these robotic wasps to counter our governments robotic chickens soon they will war and we will be caught in the middle, the sky is falling people... wait a minute sky falling... CHICKEN little! the signs are everywhere! AGHHH! *jumps out window*.

Same as with headless walking chickens: The stem of the brain is still attached (you can see it looks as if there is still some `neck` on the wasp), enough for some basic functions (walking, flapping, ect)

If i remember rightly most insects don`t have a central brain like humans, they have 4-5 nerve clusters along the length of their body, and can carry on living with just 2 (i think), so even though this guy got rid of the wasp`s head it`ll live until it runs out of energy (can`t eat now after all) but due to not having the head nerve cluster it won`t be able to judge certain things (maybe thats why it`s wings keep flapping.

It`s also the same reason a cockroach carries on living without a head.

"To put him out of his misery, I chopped his head off."

But he kept on living so you thought you`d keep him "in his misery" for another hour and a half while you poke him with a pencil and film it.
