I`ve read somewhere the designer wanted to make it "muscular" and "manly" so naturally, first thing that popped in my head was: GAY!
I don`t see any "muscles" or "masculinity" though, I just see a shoebox with details..
And yeah, the 911 might be the same 911, but at least it`s sleek and really easy on the eyes. The Corvette looks better too, being closer to the "muscular/manly" idea without being gay.
P.S. I am not homophobic so please read gay as "overly happy effeminate male hairdresser" if you are offended by the "g" word....

Clarkson drives it across Japan 2 episodes ago on Top Gear. Then last episode they had it on the track. It did like a 1:19.4. VERY fast

Not that it was built for straight lines, but the Z06 beats it in a drag.
But I bet this thing is soooo much fun to drive up a mountain canyon.

you see the gtr admittedley is one fast bastard and i would probably have a good laugh with it but it is a car that i can take or leave.
the new corvette could be a laugh however i would be concious of the fact that it is not that powerfull considering the size of the engine.
so what i would do is buy an aston martin dbs a corvette stingray (you know the one in con air but in blue) and a new mazda 6 rip out the engine and add a w8 mounted to a 4wd system and a couple of superchergers for good measure.
p.s porches are totally gay all the power in the rear end it`s like they gave george michael the design brief and a public toilet with a hole in the wall then making sombody spunk a design on the page. should have called it the 6911.

^Firstly, Porsches are some of the most well-built cars for going around tracks, so you don`t know what you`re talking about, especially since there are quite a few AWD, not just RWD.

Second, if you went to the trouble of re-engineering a Mazda 6 to fit a w-8 under the hood and redid the entire drivetrain and suspension for an AWD system, you would probably at least be able to form coherent sentences. And you`d have to be a fool to choose dual superchargers over twin turbos on a high-revving motor. Maybe think about putting those superchargers on that Stingray you know nothing about.
