To Miller and Starman: Iran has a really misunderstood history. Not enough people know about the politics of the revolution, the Shah`s supporters were protecting his ideals - which were soon being forgotten after his death - which were to westernize Iran, drag it out of the dark ages and build good relations with the west.

That all went down the toilet when the good guys lost the revolution, and the religious government got back in and really crippled relations with the west.

Don`t think Iran is a bad country, if you lock all of your people in a box where all they`re allowed to watch is Iranian tv, loaded with propoganda, with very limited access to the internet - see the youtube issue - then you as a government can do whatever you want and the people have no choice but to do as they`re told. They don`t want to live in a society where you can be lashed, stoned and hanged. Think about it.

^The west didn`t like what the Shah was doing (nationalizing Iran`s oil and modernizing) so they backed up the extremist fundamentalists. And look where that got them. Remind you of some others? Like say a Mr. Hussein or Mr. Bin Laden?

You got it wrong, firstly the shah was put in place by the westerners.... the real Iran with true Persian culture existed before the shah`s placement... by prime minister mossadeq, which had put a ruling to make Iran`s oilfields its own and stop it from being raped by US and Britain...
obviously this act was disliked by US and Britain, so being the assholes they are, they put together a coup and removed mossadeq, and put in the shah, which obviously favored western ideas... now that the US and Britain had their piece of mind everything was good, until the people of Iran got sick of the shah, because as "good" as he may have sounded, he was very strict, had sort of stalinistic setup where if you said anything against him, you were killed, the people of iran had the balls to overthrow him, though they were taken advantage of because of their position, and who else to take advantage other than islamists? Ayatollah Khomeini came in, made lots of promises, everyone agreed and the overthrew the shah, making US and Britain scared again, so they tried one more time to get a coup going but it failed, the Iraq war was a "cold war" type war which was directed by US and Britain, even russia too... it was a indirect war, a war which iraq was supplied equipment and technology by Britain, USA, and Russia (the helicopters in this part) and even soldiers, Iran later found out some of the iraqi soldiers were American/British/Russian!!! It may seem little, but when a single country gets attacked by another backed up by 2/3 superpowers, then its a big deal!!!

Iran not willing to give up fought against the Iraqis who were hated because of getting support and being a hungry country, specially for iran... and with its history to back it iran wasn`t going to let that happen... so being exhausted from a new revolution, no supplies, no arsenal, iran fought back tooth and nail... humiliating Iraq when it not only stopped iraq from going farther than they had, but pushing back into iraq... this was proud moment for iranians and a humiliation for iraqis + americans

Of course america being the cunt it is, had more tricks up its sleeves, through israel, which obviously iran dislikes, america donated some supplies to iran to fight back with iraq, backstabbing its original allies... though iran was quick to figure this out and thats another reason why it hates israel as it is just a puppet to america..

more on this, but be prepared when you watch the rest of this video, i haven`t seen it, but it seems very biased and most likely propaganda to make Iran look bad like it has always been
