We are just all humans, we believe in certain religions mainly based on before we were born. I hate to say it, but our parents are to blame. Train a human when they are young (based on what you have been trained *parent*) and you therefore mirror your thoughts onto the child. Its the same as every religion........ and before you know it your giving money, living in isolation, killing yourself. The quicker us, as a species, realise that religion was created by HUMANS, the quicker we can actually live our lives, helping each other, caring for one another...As a Species.

It doesn`t matter if your black, white, yellow, brown, not straight, straight, shy, disabled, not disabled, short, tall, skinny, fat, in the fucking middle. It doesn`t matter...What matters is that we treat every human on this planet the same as we would treat ourselves, excluding stereotypes and discrimination.

if Gods don`t exist, who cares? I think Religion has a purpose, even if the god part of it is incorrect. I see religion as a great thing, it brings people together, gives you morals, helps people cope with difficult situations.

everything that this life is based on is religion, and without it scares a lot of people into believing. At the end of the day, if you believe or not, who gives a fuck? I sure don`t.

I`m definitely gonna see the movie.

i liked the vid that was on here a couple weeks ago, showing how christians make of 75% of the US population, and also 75% of the US prison population, while atheists make up 10% of the total but only 0.2% of the prison population.
clearly and indisputably, religion does not give us our morals.

These kinds of films are pretty much pointless in all manner of ways. To the over religious it is just something to get pissed off about, like they don’t have enough reasons as it is. And to the non-religious it is simply a circle jerk and a pat on the back. Why is it that most anti-religious propaganda is spread by an elderly man that seems bitter and cynical about life in general? Yes, religion has done some pretty bullshit things and makes people say and do things that are pretty damn amusing. But as things stand now you are not getting rid of religion with out a major war.

Did you ever think maybe they take up 75 percent because they are trying to look good so they can get an early release. Don`t trust figures from biased sources. There could be hundreds of reasons why it comes to that number.

It brings people of like religion together, and part of that time together is spent learning that everyone else is wrong and will be punished for it, and in many cases (Christianity included), teaches hatred, whether directly or indirectly, of opposing views.

I am atheist, and I have great morals. If you have to have the fear of God`s punishment to make you care about others and not want to cause them harm, you are a bad person. And it`s nice being able to decide for yourself what`s right and what`s wrong. I have no remorse when I decide to smoke a little pot or have premarital sex, because I`m not hurting anyone. All it takes to indulge in pleasureful "sins" safely is a little responsibility.

I realize that religion is a comfort for many people, but once I came to realize that I am my own god, I felt a huge weight lift from my shoulders. I am in charge of every aspect of my life, I have no supreme being judging my every action, and I have a huge reason to live my life to the fullest, because there`s probably nothing else for me.

And you know what REALLY brings people together in a fantastic way? Ecstasy. Not even joking.

these kind of films should be made more often. it opens up debates and makes you think. i am not necessarily talking about films on religion but documentaries on sensitive subjects.

i will take this film over the HULK or IRONMAN any day.

pope john paul made many attempts to bond together with other religions, like Judaism, Anglicanism, Buddhism, Islam. He also made many apologies such as `The injustices committed against women, the violation of women`s rights and for the historical denigration of women (10 July 1995`...to Galileo, the scientist that claimed that the earth revolved around the earth(31 October 1992)..... `Catholics` involvement with the African slave trade (9 August 1993).`... and many more.

religion is beginning to change... they noe that ther set of rules dunt work any more in modern society...

people believe in god wen they have problems... such as old age... a second chance at something theyve done wrong... for faith ... for courage... not everyone in the world have such strong and lucky lives to live...they might be lonely...they might be sick...they might be losers that are incapable of helping themselves... we all have problems... not everyone of us can do it ourselves... so they want guidance... i dunt find anything wrong with believing in god... it gives them hope... and hope is sumthing that is very dangerous to lose...

people have rights to believe w.e they want to... this is y we live in a democratic country... if we take away religion... not only will rights be taken away from ppl... but a world without religion can be realli fucked up...

alot ppl dont shit about religion and to what religion teaches... they only disagree and they dunt know shit about what ther disagreeing to and only look at one side of the argument... like...u guys really gota look at both sides of the question b4 making such strong statements... does believing in God REALLI cause a big problem...

its like smoking... u wanna go smoke... go smoke... yea itll give u lung cancer... but if smoking can really give u satisfaction... i wouldnt stop u... if believing in god can give u satisfaction.... i wouldnt stop u...

if u guys havent read my other comments... keep in mind im not catholic or believe in any god... but i just think a world without religion will be fucked up
