It was strange that while the movie seemed so juvenile and the quintessential late 80s/early 90s grunge style, there were many references to classic literature and film classics throughout the movie. For example, Death in B&T was a parody of Death playing chess in The Seventh Seal.

I watched this movie when I was probably 10 or 11, but I recently saw it again (25 now) and it has become almost...Shakespearean in quality. Mmm...quite.
