It bothers me when people come into a free society and then they want everyone that lives there and cherishes their freedoms to surrender them because they conflict with the beliefs of the immigrants.

It works both ways. If I go to Saudi Arabia then I should recognize that I`m expected to conform to their social values. If I don`t like their society then I shouldn`t move there. If my reasons to leave out way my reasons not to, then I`ve decided my own social values are less important than the reasons I`m moving. You can`t have it all.

Basically, you`re making a choice between your current society/way of life, and with what ever draws you to another country. If you choose to leave your society be ready to integrate OR don`t go.

They are just words, meisjes. Words. Jokes. Song lyrics. No one is killing anyone (like Theo van Gogh was killed in my neighbourhood). No one is being bashed (the way Gay men must now fear being bashed by Marokkan boys in the centre of Amsterdam). No one is even being genitally mutilated the way your boys (and many girls) are, every day.

Teeuwen`s words aren`t even commandments, like the ones in your Quran (or the equally silly Torah and Bible that Teeuwen also ridicules) that order holy wars, genocide, massacres, slavery etc. etc. etc.

In a free society, you should have every right to believe and say what you want. You have every right, even, to be offended - and to say so. You have no right to limit, ban or outlaw others` rights because those rights (might) offend you, however. Or at least you shouldn`t (and just for the record, I disagree with headscarf bans, too - wear whatever your faith dictates, just don`t tell me what to wear...or not to wear).

At least these girls limited their actions to discussion, argument and debate. If only their co-religionists would do likewise.
