Bob Keesham, Medal of honor winner for making himself a living target so his unit could progress up the beach in the Battle of the Pacific. He used to taunt the enemy to make them shoot at him and laugh at them when they missed. One of his biggest fans and friends was a Private first class Lee Marvin. At the end of the second world war he turned his back on violence and started out as a friendly clown on shows like Howdy Doody. Then got his own show under the name of Captain Kangaroo.
