"So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?"

Always reminds me of how much I hate cities, everyone`s so fake and the places are so horrible. To many damnable humans.

i saw similar stuff happen in taiwan. the rural town i often stayed in, the edges in the more wild areas near or on the mountains were mostly abandoned, but then it sort of reveresed. the surrounding area became urban and well off ppl built really big sort of western style farmhouses that were more like suburban houses in the lands that used to be rice fields. they regrew some of the rice to keep a country feeling. a big part of the ppl too are retired ppl moving out of the city. and of course there`s still the sprinkling of ppl who never moved away

cities are a good thing too,
they increase women`s rights, defuse the pop. bomb,
and generates more money and healthcare than rural areas,

"Stadtluft Macht Frei" (city air makes you free)

I find it incredible how people have the balls to do this. I definitely don`t, but wish I did. I, like many others, am too attached to my gadgets, my technology, my urban life to let it all go. I give these people props because when this civilized world goes to shit, they are the ones that are going to keep standing, as for us, mercy.

It is really an amazing thing to do. You go to school, get a job, earn money and die. Everyone is brainwashed into thinking that is the only lifestyle available. I just wonder how they are able to see past that and live in the country.

I could say that I`d like to do that, but I`ll never be ready to give up a T3 connection.

But it is Japan, maybe they can get a giant phone company robot to lay a fibre optic line to my new house.
