^Csmack, lay off. The ACLU has defended Christans - and people of all faiths/beliefs - countless times. Hell, they`ve even defended radical Christian-Patriot white supremecists, cults like the Branch Davidians, Randy Weaver, the NRA etc. etc. ad infinitum.

The idea that the ACLU is some reactionary liberal cabal is pure and total BS. They are the number one defenders of everyone`s freedom of expression, even yours.

It`s not freedom if it`s forced, however. That`s what this suit is about.

saw this in the news a while ago, i guess it`s coming back up since the "government" has to file a reply by end of today, well i guess it`s already past midnight now. wonder who exactly is the government, and what they said.

i see this kind of stuff happen everywhere, to certain degrees. at almost every sports event during highschool/middleschool etc, teams would pray. seems weird seeing as the other team is praying about the same thing too. one place i used to work at, the manager would lead a prayer at the end of the workday about doing a good job that day and hopefully the next. people start looking at you if you don`t do it or don`t look like you know what you`re doing. especially in church, when you don`t know any of the words to the songs and you just stand there, sometimes mouthing nonsense or humming offbeat just to fit in, and people around you notice and give you the eye. it`s worse when it happens i na smaller group like a youth bible study with 10 ppl that your mom made you go to and they can really tell you`re not singing the christian soft rock songs correctly. i`m going to get some ice cream
