Can you imagine, Saddam actually used some of the chemical weapons we sold him? For shame. You`re just supposed to buy them and keep them, because they`re pretty. For Christmas decorations, and such. At least he got the lump of coal in the end eh?

Oh yeah, it`s also GREAT that Haliburton and others get all those no bid contracts. I`m sure the Iraqi people will be very well cared for from their oil profits. A nation of 25 million rich people for sure. With cancer from DU.

^ Indeed. A skilled interviewer (not the typical American media lapdog) would have interrupted Condi to remind her that the chemical weapons of which she speaks were provided by US and other Western powers.

And that the Iran/Iraq war of which she speaks was supported by the US on the side of Iraq (remember those pics of Rumsfeld warmly embracing Saddam?).

And that the "weapons of mass destruction" she so disingenuously mentions were a falsified ruse to justify an illegal war. "Whatever their state when we found them there..." You didn`t find them there!

These people have been lying so much for so long, I think they actually believe their own BS.

Aren`t there a bunch of empty cells in Spandau prison that need filling? Condi could do time behind the same walls some other war criminals did. Or we could just execute her.

EDIT: Oh, I just looked and found out they demolished Spandau after Hess died. A shame. I guess we`ll have to go with plan B.

I thought one way to deal with them would be to put them in a huge warehouse. Take away everything they have, including clothes, because they have had and stolen enough. And then don`t geve them ANYTHING. Well, maybe let some rainwater run in. Hang up a bunch of cameras, and it could go on reality TV as "Death of the rich and corrupted". We could watch them tear each other up, and eat each other, and stuff. I doubt it would be pretty, what with the apparent level of morality and remorse those folks have. Make good fodder for Nothing Toxic though.

Maybe that would be too kind. But some kind of public executions are definitely in order, as a reminder to the people of where not to go. And they better be pretty gruesome, because the deterrent factor has to outweigh the insane wealth that entices these people normally.

Oh come on, this self-important narcisstic bullshit sickens me. "Great historical events" has a blatant positive note the way she says this - war is <never> "great"...
I have no idea where these people get their information from. Last time I checked, there was still violence raging up and down the country.
And this arrogance she shows when referring to the pre-war efforts of the U.N. just drives me nuts. The United Nations were formed to keep the world from unneccessary wars, now building up pressure on a dictatorship (which was endorsed by the US), and because that didn`t work effectively and/or fast enough the Bush administration rushed in there like an eight-year-old bully - while others tried to preserve peace, they just screamed for the violent approach.
It`s not that I don`t approve the falling of a suppressing regime, but seriously - how uncooperative, how counter-productive and self-important can one nation`s government get?

This message Condi sends here is the reason why parts of the world are so Anti-American/Anti-Western.
"I know there was this big group of nations trying to preserve peace, we just *shrugs* ignored them and went for what we thought was right. I know we ignored all of you, but hey, it`s a big event and it`s so totally gonna be awesome!"

Seriously - if anyone did that in a company, he`d be fired in an instant.

yeah & bush has never had success in any of his businesses before taking office, so he`s certainly keeping up with his already poor reputation.

i remember watching the UN speech which Colin Powell gave claiming the so-called WMD`s in Iraq`s possession, the TV interviewer asked a french UN representative what his thoughts were?, to which he replied `this was a typical US movie with all the special effects & dramatization to match!.

I have never know the US in the last 30 years to be "dragged into" any war. They always went willingly, and not because of any noble cause, but for self serving reasons. The war in Iraq is no different and it will be the same when they invade Iran too.

It has been a long time since i have been made this angry at watching such a short clip.

As people have explained here, she is talking shit, but its not the usual `oh that person is a dumbass and does not know what they are talking about` style talking shit which is usualy just amusing. She KNOWS she is talking total total grade A bullshit its just arrrghhh. It goes beyond self serving bitchery and into the realms of good old fashioned fucking evil.
