Of course he`s controversial. And no, I don`t agree with all he has to say. That doesn`t change the fact that, on each and every point raised during this segment, he`s right.

I was lucky enough to see him in person when he spoke in Amsterdam a few years ago. You don`t need to be a supporter of radical Islam (goodness knows I`m not!) to know that absolutely the worst response to it is violence and aggression.

So, his points on Iran are invalid how? Fine, you can cast doubt upon the messenger through the power of wikipedia, but do you even know enough about the Iraq-Iran war to invalidate the actual points in the message? Not knowing a thing about Iran or its long history of being committed to nuclear power as a means of maximizing the profits of its limited supply of oil reserves, how do you argue the points he makes?

Which Muslim terrorists fighting for which causes is he an apologist for? It`s very tricky to find anyone in any developed country who has not helped a terrorist organization or a dictatorial regime that was a state sponsor of terror prior to 9/11. That means the U.S. aided those who funded and harbored terrorists right up until the day those towers came crashing down. And who in the name of Jebus destroyed the nascent democracy in Iran in 1953, putting in place the dictator who would necessarily give rise to the current theocracy?

If you don`t know and don`t care, then just stick to the issues and don`t piss and moan about whether or not this guy or that guy lives up to some exquisite standards (thought up by the most dishonest intellectual snobs money can buy) in this arbitrary war called the "Global War on Terror." You`re bound to reveal ineptitude in history otherwise, and nobody in this world could give a fuck about how much you DON`T know, except maybe some douche bag anchorman in the mainstream media who has run out of things to talk about.

actually you kind of missed my point - i didnt say i disagree with every opinion the man may have.
But i do have a problem with propaganda spewers. Just because hes seen saying something NON-controversial doesnt mean hes still being given a platform.
And i think that people who are sketchy such as he shouldnt be given air time :P
Anyway Iran did nothing to warrant war, I aint a republican :P

Thank you for demonstrating your point, Allah. And in chiding everyone for their opinions, you might as well use the full adage "opinions are like assholes, everyone has one....and they all stink."

Lord, No! I didn`t miss your point at all. Who would define spikedhumor a "platform" of any significance? Nobody. So, what are we left with? wikipedia to decide matters of a man`s political conviction (one who has been a victim of smear campaigns and elaborate forgeries, according to wiki).

I`m with you on not giving air time to sketchy people, but since Congressmen and the Administration both find mainstream media`s cameras fixed on them for hours at a time, maybe you should take your outrage and apply it to the folks who can directly damage your own country first. And if you aren`t a U.S. citizen then I would brush you off with saying that we are swimming in actual criminals, can`t be bothered with mere disreputables who have had and won their days in court.

I really don`t care about people`s party affiliations these days, although unrepentant supporters of this Administration are a bright checkered flag for American-style idiocy, dog-like obedience to the establishment, and self-delusion.

I realize now that Republican and Democrat are meaningless labels. The two parties now come down to those in power and the rest of us. And among the rest of us, it breaks down to people who serve the government`s abuse of power in their daily lives and people who believe the government should serve us.

Anyone who insists on tossing around partisan stereotypes that have no informational value is part of the problem in my country because they don`t have the patriotism to even inform themselves. They are the little traitors on whose backs the giant traitors tread. If they would but stand up and take a look around instead of being locked into a bowing posture of humble supplication, eyes to the ground, and ears to their oppressors, they would find living without fear and want tangible and within reach.

Anyone intersted in the history of Iran and the manipulation and pretty much theft of their oil should read about Mosaddeq. I did an essay on him and his story really helps put`s Iran`s perspective on certain things...in particular their attemp of oil nationalization
