It seems the argument is inherently flawed. The Bible does not claim that foolish = unintelligent. You can have an intelligent fool and an unintelligent wiseman. Similarly, the second half of the video seems to suggest that actors do no evil deeds. Again, being successful is not the same as being righteous, moral, or good, nor does it mean that a wicked man can never do good or a righteous man can do no wicked. This video is as bad as trying to prove the existence of God with a banana.

ps about the light bulb, telsa had the idea for a thin wire shining hot to give light, edison discovered which metal to use and what gas to fill the bulb with to make it useful - they both invented it, it would not be a useable product without both of them.

Servus, did you think the video was trying to disprove the existence of god? Atheists can`t disprove the existence of something that can`t be proven in the first place! They can only demonstrate the inherent unlikeliness of the concept, and scientists can demonstrate that god is not necessary. It`s a question of belief.

Actually, I never said anything about being against science or that the video was attempting to disprove God. I was only pointing out that the examples shown in the video were flawed in that they try to counter intelligent people against the argument that athiests are foolish when they claim there is no God.

In other words, if the video is trying to demonstrate that the selection of men they chose are not necessarily foolish because they are intelligent, then it confuses ignorance with foolishness. If the video is merely pointing out that the Bible claims athiests, whether or not they are intelligent, are foolish, then it`s merely stating the obvious. Either way, I hold by my claim that the video is flawed.

The only thing that I disagree with in this clip is that it just assumes that all people who believe in God are worthless, unintelligent and scum-bags..

I`m a Muslim, I`m intelligent, and on my way to becoming a scientist.

Having faith in God does not validate the actions of that person.

Exploder^ - Depends on the religion and the person, but generally right. Buddhism seems pretty straight forward and accepting of intelligent conversation. Even most pagans realize that the stories of their gods are just metaphors about the seasons and natural cycles, the usual stuff in most earth based religions. Heck in Asatru it would be a blasphemy not to learn all you could about the world when Odin is the god of wisdom and enlightenment.
