It looks like he stepped onto the end bit of the treadmill, which caused him to slip and fall. It actually doesn`t look like it got permanently broke; that piece looks like it can be manually removed.

It sounded like the guy was actually mad at his friends for laughing at him. Dude, your in a packed room in what looks like some college house and everyone is drinking suddenly you bust your ass on a defective treadmill; I would be amazed if they didn`t laugh.

delt_osvp, why yes I am. My job is to search through the internet, finding videos of our machines breaking apart and then to comment on the website showing the video, saying that it was the person`s fault and not the product`s fault.

I was just trying to imply that the treadmill isn`t a crappy one bought at a flea market, as we are led to believe in your description.
