Chomsky is right we have become de-politicized. But what do you expect when our vote counts for shit and we`re being placated with all these distractions. It`s much too difficult to become involved with or pay attention to the political process when we have a corporately owned media feeding us bullshit 24 hours a day (and funking lame ass tabloids). I`m much too busy playing xbox or watching tv or fucking around on the internet to be able to focus on world events or politicians that are going to shape my future. Alright Family Guy is back on. Gotta go...

Well, just because there is an "outlandish" theory on the internet that is spreading doesn`t mean it isn`t true.

People are now using the internet in ways that the main stream media hadn`t expected 10 years ago.

Knowledge is power, and with the internet how it is right now, people are losing not some but a majority of that power.

^ huh? I thought that the internet was giving us power like we never had before. Everyone can publish free or nearly free. Info is not well suppressed, news gets around, and even evidence of things that can`t be undone.

Yeah, it`s a sea of info, and it causes mind death by drowning just about as much as enlightenment. Yeah, important things get lost in the din. But it`s better than TV, radio, newspapers and books as our only methods.

Sometimes I think Chompsky is so used to being his own authority, and is so old (and inevitably tired), that he can`t handle or accept some of what`s coming up these days. Like governments being unfathomably more corrupted, evil, and cynical than the whole paradigm he has so valiantly fought.

9/11 MIGHT be an inside job, but the war on drugs IS real. That`s enough reason to say "fuck the FOI`s already" and get more serious about taking this thing back. The rules are all designed against us now, so it`s time to play outside of them if we want any chance of winning. Chomsky is done if he can`t see that.
