If you were in his shoes you wouldn`t be so happy about it. He may have done wrong, but until he is proven guilty you cannot touch him.

Lets just say there is a 1% chance his friends were causing trouble and he was just watching, or even trying to stop them. That 1% alone is enough to justify his right to a fair trial, and the right to not be thrust like that into a wall.
