Yes, H2O + K (potassium) = "explosive" reaction. Actually it the piece of K starts to burns as soon as it touches water and it rolls around the surface of the water (looks like levitation) because the reaction (burning) makes it jump up a little. But whatever you do, DO NOT put pure calcium with H2O, because the reaction is ACTUALLY "explosive".
