I enjoyed this one! When he first started talking I was thinking oh no this guy is full of it, but I sat and ate my dinner and listened to what he had to say and realized he is an underdog in the science community and believes whole heartedly in his theories. But I bet a lot of physicists doubt him because he has no proof yet but I hope for him the best. You can see in his eyes he really works hard at what he does.

i like string theory, i just don`t like fact that it has to be its birth right to unify. it just seems so arrogant to think that all of particles and laws of nature have been discovered by mankind within the last 200 years of trial and error.

From what I understand, theres a few individual string theories that work ok by themselves. Each one is considered mathematically and theoretically correct, however, they don`t support eachother directly. Membrane or "M-theory" is a new theory that came along and basically used 11 dimensions instead of 10. This created unity between each string theory and argued that each case of string theory was a component of M-theory.

Brian Greene is AMAZING. Too bad I missed his talk in the World Science Festival in NYC recently. I really wanted to see it but didn`t have the time.

But either way, I can`t wait till the CERN finally gets launched!

wow that was really fascinating. think the guy did a nice job of explaining too, basically went on to all the questions that came up my head as he went along.
