its pretty sad how true this is, i remember my mom telling me one time that at the school she worked at the teacher asked the kids (elementary school) to raise their hands if they have ever felt racism against them, and a white student raised his hand, teacher told him to put his hand down. its complete bullshit in this society

While it`s true everyone has felt the sting of racism, I doubt your average suburban, middle-American caucasians can really understand the depth of it. Getting called a cracker or whitey doesn`t hurt as much as a black guy being called a nigger because there`s no real history behind the words. That infamous N word, when used, calls forth 300+ years of oppression and hatred; what terrible oppression does "honkey" call forth?

When white people have been oppressed for three centuries at the hands of the blacks, that`s when we`ll shudder at the use of these racial slurs, and not before.
