totally not the drivers fault. anyone who doesnt stay fully alert around big trucks like that deserve to get run over.

everybody knows they have huge blind spots.One of the first things you learn in drivers ed is that if you cant see the drivers face in the mirror on a big rig he cant see you.

^ Most truck drivers are taught to do quick walk arounds every time they are forced to back up.. and they are also taught to always back into their parking stall to avoid accidents just like this..

I agree the lady is pretty dumb for stopping behind a running truck.. and it probably had a back up alarm on it to.. making her a little more stupid

driver`s are always responsible for the movement of their car, unless someone deliberately messed with their car or the environment around them. but i have to say, wtf was that lady doing behind the truck, trucks are usually loud enough for you to know they`re still running. you never stand right behind a running vehicle. i think she`s lucky though, i`m not sure but if you look at the furthest the tires went, and where she`s on the ground, it looks like she didn`t get run over. u know. all these car accident vids on the internet has taught or reinforced a lot of things for me. like don`t open doors on the driver side when parked, don`t cross the street until all cars have passed, don`t stand behind trucks, drive real slow during blizzards, don`t try to cross a flooded street.

I`m sorry, but that is completely the truck driver`s fault. I have driven numerous a commercial vehicles in the past, and one of the things that they ALWAYS tell you in training is to have someone spot you when you are going in reverse, or at least do a quick walk around. While the girl may seem idiotic for stopping behind a truck, you can`t really blame her for it. Yes, trucks may be loud, but you can clearly see that the vehicle is a front engine truck. that said, the engine is probably 15-20 ft away from where she is standing, and it`s very likely that she could not have heard the engine.

So lets say he does a walk around, starts to climb in the truck and the woman walks out then. What now? If the truck didn`t have its reverse beep going, then its the truck drivers fault. Otherwise all womans.
