First part was really bad footage. Good thing there was someone with a camcorder there.

FYI, That was an R7 rocket.

Soyuz is the name of the capsule. (like Apollo was the capsule, Saturn was the rocket)

The russians make the best rockets in the world, even NASA use their services. So switching to vodka wouldn`t be a good deal for anyone.

Idiot. Soyuz rockets are famous for being ultra-reliable and safe. The Russian safety record with manned launches is the best in the world and not one person has been injured during a manned Soyuz launch since 1971.
