FYI, That was an R7 rocket.

Soyuz is the name of the capsule. (like Apollo was the capsule, Saturn was the rocket)

Idiot. Soyuz rockets are famous for being ultra-reliable and safe. The Russian safety record with manned launches is the best in the world and not one person has been injured during a manned Soyuz launch since 1971.
