(Little note - gun nuts : who gives a damn? A .303 rifle is just as likely to kill you as a .50 calibre - it`s just overcompensation .. a good ol` poke in the eye or a throttle will kill most "humans" .. what the hell are you shooting at?)

The higher the caliber the further the range and the higher the intimidation factor, even if you miss with a desert eagle you may well strip your adversary of his will to continue.

So, if I shot at you with a .303 and just missed, you`d laugh it off and flick your hair charismatically whilst reloading and taking another shot ... but if I use a .50 you`ll shit your pants and give up?

I think, if anything, you`d open fire with more panic and hence unload with everything you`ve got.

Jesus Christ man ... are you suggesting every outgunned individual gives up? Just about every battle and shoot-out in history disagrees with you (cue: this is when you bring up some random shoot out with a guy who didn`t want to get involved in a shoot-out gives up).

Nah ... I guess I`ll agree that the .50 has some serious intimidation ... but once bullets start flying you are committed. Game over man. You can`t change the gun fight once it`s started.

One thing I need to say for the .50 82A1 vs. the .303 is that I (if I was good a enough shot) could hit you at 1500 plus yards where I don`t have to worry one little bit about your .303 hitting me... That is what you call intimidation...
